SpaceX’s main product is the Falcon 9 rocket (launched on November 8, 2010), which it launched on its first mission in 2010 to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS).

The company launched its Starlink aviation-specific satellite Internet service on Tuesday, and Elon Musks’ company is looking to further push its way into the market for onboard WiFi.

Elon Musk and SpaceX began sending Starlink terminals, which enable access to SpaceXs satellite Internet service, into Ukraine in late February, just after Russian troops invaded and Ukrainian officials issued public calls for help.

Starlink is a SpaceX broadband service, which carries Internet from satellites launched into orbit. Starlinks satellite Internet service to Ukraine has been critical for Ukrainian communications during the Ukrainian war against the Russian invasion.

Starlink, operated by Elon Musks SpaceX, is a worldwide low-orbiting network of satellites that circumvents terrestrial Internet and has helped to reestablish connections within Ukraine since Russias invasion.

Since first starting arriving in Ukraine this past spring, the satellite Internet terminals made by Elon Musks SpaceX.

Starlink, have been a crucial communication source for the Ukrainian military, allowing them to fight and remain connected even when cell phones and Internet networks were destroyed during their war with Russia.

SpaceXs Starlink Internet service is a space-based broadband network aimed at providing high-speed Internet worldwide using an extensive constellation of orbiting satellites.

Since the Starlink launch in October, SpaceXs Starlink internet has reached over 10,000 users globally, and it has begun offering pre-orders for the $99 service in multiple countries and cities around the world.

SpaceXs latest launch for Starlink was October 5, with SpaceX placing another 52 Starlink satellites into orbit.

On SpaceXs part, in December, SpaceXs won $885 million in federal subsidies to expand Starlink, but smaller Internet providers said it should not be allowed since Elon Musks using unproven technology.

CNN reported last week that SpaceX has asked the Pentagon to pay tens of millions of dollars per month to fund a satellite Internet service from SpaceX to Ukraine.

CNN reported Thursday that its rocket-launching company, SpaceX, sent the Pentagon a letter last month saying that it cannot continue funding its Starlink service in Ukraine and that it might have to cease funding it if the US military does not pay the company tens of millions of dollars a month.

Elon Musk said on Friday he felt it was unfair his company was not being subsidized by the U.S. military for running the satellite Internet Starlink service in Ukraine, although his competitors like Lockheed Martin and Boeing were receiving billions to supply resources.

The U.S. military confirmed the U.S. military was communicating with his company regarding the funding of a satellite internet network after CNN published memos sent from SpaceX to the Pentagon.
